The pastels of Princeton artist Paula Kolojeski can be seen up and down
the Jersey coast in galleries, private homes and businesses. The artist
herself can often be seen with her easel on a street corner or
boardwalk
sketching a local scene. She works with the pastel medium as though she
were painting, layering the colors, applying with soft strokes,
allowing
the colors beneath to come through those above to add dimension and
unusual combinations of color often missed by the eye in the real
world.
Even though she is best known for her seascapes, Paula has added
woodlands and figure drawings and still life to her portfolio, in both
pastels and oils. The artwork of Paula Kolojeski is reproduced in
limited edition prints, both offset and giclée, which are available at
many galleries including the Anchor & Palette.
