Roberta Carter Clark is best known for her portraits in oil or
watercolor. She teaches workshops and gives demonstrations on the
techniques of portraiture and has written books: How to Paint Living
Portraits, 1990, and Painting Vibrant Children's Portraits, 1993, North
Light Books and produced videos on the same. Her paintings have been
featured in many artists magazines including The Artist's Magazine,
American Artist Magazine and Watercolor Magic Magazine.
She is a member of the American Watercolor Society, the Rockport Art
Association, Allied Artists, the Guild of Creative Art, and the
Transparent Watercolor Society of America: Master Status. Her awards
are
numerous, including the Winsor Newton Award, American Watercolor
Society, 1987; Nummie Warga Award, Garden State Watercolor Society,
2000; five Grumbacher Awards, three Best in Show, NJ Watercolor
Society,
and more. Her paintings have been exhibited at the Monmouth Museum, NJ;
M.H. de Young Memorial Museum, San Francisco; National Academy of
Design, NYC, and in many juried and solo shows.
Roberta's originals can be found in galleries nationally, including the
Anchor & Palette Gallery in Bay Head, NJ.
